A lot of sites are reporting on this news, but sources say it started with The Hollywood Reporter.
So let me break it down for you.
1. Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan will be writing this new Halloween film. For those of you unfamiliar with them. They wrote The Feast Trilogy, Saw IV,V,VI, and VII, Piranha 3DD, and Both The Collector and The Collection.
2. The word is, that it’s not a remake, not a reboot, and not a reimagining. One source said the project is a “recalibration.”
Whatever the F that means. It is just another RE! Its all the same to me, each one means the same thing essentially. No matter how you say it, it all means to tell a story over again. Personally this sounds like they don't wanna do a sequel and don't want to remake it again. So they invented another RE. Don't be surprised if you here other studios start sayings. "Its not a remake but more of a recalibration"
