Madman's budget is unknown, but it most likely did make money. Due to word of mouth it did well in the Drive-in Circuit.
The film gained a cult following with its release on VHS. Eventually it made its way to DVD in 2001, by Anchor Bay Entertainment and has since gone out of print. The film was again released on DVD by Code Red studios in 2010. Which is also hard to get for a good price.
In 2014 one of my new favorite company's Vinegar Syndrome. Announced that they will be releasing Madman on Blu-ray. Which is fantastic news since I have never seen the film, but after doing minor research for this article. I really wanna see it and I cant wait to pick up this release. So there you have it. Day 1 in my new series. I cant promise I will do one of these every day or even every week for that matter but I will try my best to do them as frequent as possible. Also I know my writing is awful just bare with me! |
